Under the ongoing technical cooperation projects in transport sector, GIZ is working on multiple fronts with its partner states, cities and institutions. The key supporting activities include –
- Development and implementation of customized capacity development measures and institutionalizing them in local training institutions
- Enhancing peer-to-peer learning, knowledge exchange, and support in state-wide campaigns on sustainable urban transport
- Support partner institutions in city-wide planning and projects/measures
- Support the State departments in conducting policy-oriented research, development of replication mechanisms and data management strategies
These project activities aim to address diverse range of urban transport issues such as non-motorized transport, public transport improvement, road safety, multi-modal transport, electric mobility, data management and data analytics, mobility as a service and so on.
